Financial Assistance

Whether you need help putting a meal on the table, getting to your doctor appointments, covering copays, or managing any other unexpected bills, we’re here to ease the burden in any way we can. We strive to relieve some of the financial burden individuals face so they may focus on their treatment.

Types of Assistance

Grocery Assistance

Gift cards for local grocery stores. Proper nutrition is essential during cancer treatment and families shouldn’t have to choose between medication and meals.

Medical Co-Pays & Prescriptions

Direct payment assistance for medical appointment co-pays and/or prescription co-pays.

Utility & Essential Bills

Assistance with utility bills (electric, heating, water, etc.) to prevent service disconnections during treatment.
Rent or mortgage assistance also offered.

Gas & Transportation

Gas cards to cover the cost of driving to medical appointments, chemotherapy sessions, radiation treatments, and follow up appointments.

Dinner Vouchers

Gift cards to area restaurants. Deciding what to make for dinner should be the last thing on your mind.

Initial assistance is determined on a case-by-case basis. Any subsequent assistance is limited to a maximum of $250.

Application Requirements:

To qualify for assistance, applicants must:

1) Live in Orange County, NY or be receiving cancer treatment in Orange County, NY

2) Be actively receiving treatment at the time of application*

Application form must be signed by both the applicant and patient's oncologist or social worker and include a completed HIPAA Release Form.

*Active treatment includes receiving chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, or stem cell therapy. This also includes recent cancer surgery and bone marrow or stem cell transplants. Patients receiving hospice care are also eligible for assistance.
